What is the Church of the Inner Vision?

Listen to Craig Kimbrough, founder and director, as he answers some questions about "What Is the Church of the Inner Vision, and How Do I Join?"   Click here.

The Church of the Inner Vision is the fulfillment of prophecy. Even though it’s founder and director, Craig Kimbrough, initially wanted to have a building structure in the physical, every time he would pose the question to God as to exactly where it should be, he found himself having dreams, visions and unexpected conversations with people telling him how he should build a church on the internet.  His spiritual teacher, Mr. Ambrister, also began to talk to him about how helpful and beautiful it would be.

This website and the vibration created by our friends who log on is that church that was prophesized. The members are the people who visit us and they come for various reasons. Some for the weekly lesson on CD, the weekly question or thought and suggested movies, others for the monthly metaphysical interpretation, to find out about classes and seminars, or ask questions and give comments, and still others for the monthly reflection and more. Whatever the reason you find yourself here, know we appreciate you, and thank you for making the prophecy real.

Our Philosophy

Life is a wonderful adventure specifically designed for our growth into the realization of our oneness with God.  If we closely examine our lives, we can see an order with tailor-made lessons connected to the situations and events we experience. The more we look for our lessons and embrace them, the more incredible life becomes. The less we accept the moment with it’s attached lessons, the more difficult time we have.

It has also been our experience that “the body is the temple of the living God.”  So we meditate in order to experience the light and vibration of God. We’ve discovered by doing this that “all these things I do you can do and greater.”  The more we meditate on the spirit within, the more we are astonished by the miracles performed by that spirit in our world.  We begin to develop a deep peace and an inner vision with sights far greater than those of the outer senses that we previously relied on.  We eventually realize that we can have the answer to anything we want to know in life and have experiences beyond our dreams.  We do this simply by learning to continually go within.

When we come together with others practicing in the same manner, we see how “When two or more are gathered together in my name, I am in the midst of them.”  The weekly service seems to be based on exactly what we need to hear that week.  The question or thought of the week is particularly relevant to my life, or the featured movie or DVD is just what we needed to see to remind us of certain truths.  We find that we are connected and growing more rapidly as we vibrate together on the same frequency.

Last, it’s important to mention the strong belief and experience that truth is truth - whether it is eastern or western, old or new, from the bible or the Upanishads, the Dead Sea Scrolls or a modern movie -  the universe’s mysterious ways are always beautiful. So sometimes we quote Jesus, other times Guru Nanuk, sometimes Lao Tsu, other times the ways of the Samurai in the movie Ghost Dog.  After all,  “When God chooses to express himself he’s not too particular what color suit he wears for the occasion.
